In writing we were doing similes.Similes is a sentence that's you can only use like or as.
Like
The jellyfish was like a big fat ball
As
The jellyfish was as beautiful as a butterfly
Like
The rainbow was like a curve in the sky
As
The rainbow was as calm as it can be
Like
The thunder was like a firework
As
The thunder was as fast than a cheetah
